Tom Richards has always had a variety of interests, and he’s always loved to draw and paint.
At age nine, he would ride the bus by himself to classes at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. He further honed his skills in high school art class while playing on the hockey team, and during college art electives while pursuing a degree in business.
During a successful 30-year career in manufacturing, Tom’s artistic energy continued in the form of elaborate “business call drawings” and the countless drawings and paintings he created for family and friends as gifts or for fun.
In his retirement, he’s expanded his portfolio to include calligraphy and illustration for wedding invitations and place cards, music album artwork, and personalized bag toss (corn hole) boards with unique themes beyond the typical sports logo.
